Data Request

This page explains how to exercise your data protection rights with OmadMode (operated by ialae), the data controller. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

1. Your rights

Depending on where you live and the applicable law (such as the EU/UK GDPR or California's CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you and receive information about how we process it;
  • Rectify inaccurate or incomplete personal data;
  • Erase your personal data ("right to be forgotten"), subject to legal exceptions;
  • Restrict or object to certain processing, including processing based on legitimate interests and direct marketing;
  • Data portability, to receive certain data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format and, where feasible, have it transmitted to another controller;
  • Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent (without affecting prior processing);
  • Opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal data (we do not sell personal data); and
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.

2. How to make a request

Email contact@ialae.com from the email address associated with your account, and tell us which right you wish to exercise and any detail that helps us locate your data. You may also be able to access and update much of your information directly in your account settings.

3. Verifying your identity

To protect your data, we may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, for example by confirming control of your account email. We may decline requests that we cannot reasonably verify, or that are manifestly unfounded, excessive, or repetitive, as permitted by law.

4. Authorised agents

Where permitted by law, you may use an authorised agent to submit a request on your behalf; we may require proof of authorisation and verification of your identity.

5. Account and data deletion

Deleting your account removes your personal data and account content from our active systems. We may retain limited data where required to comply with legal, tax, accounting, security, or dispute-resolution obligations, or to enforce our agreements, and such data is deleted or anonymised when no longer required. Backups are overwritten in the ordinary course. Our analytics provider's data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

6. Third-party and provider data

Some processing is carried out by our sub-processors (see the DPA). For data held by services you connect (such as your sign-in provider), direct requests about data they control to them.

7. Response time and fees

We aim to respond within the time required by applicable law (generally 30 days, extendable where permitted for complex requests, with notice). Requests are usually free; where the law allows, we may charge a reasonable fee or decline for manifestly unfounded or excessive requests.

8. Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we handle your request or your data, you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. We would appreciate the chance to address your concerns first at contact@ialae.com.
